The show is on the road

On Friday evening several ICG members met at the Coach & Horses on London Road in what was the first of our regular organised social evenings.

In the past the "ICG roadshow" has sprung into operation six or seven weeks before an election. This time we have begun fourteen months before we go to the polls.

The purpose of the event is simply for active ICG members to talk, socialise, swap ideas and discuss recent activities. Traditionally some of our best strategies have emerged from these gatherings.

Our next such gathering will take place on Friday, 3rd April at a venue to be announced. If you are an ICG member or supporter and you'd like to come along, please get in touch with us at icg@communitygroup.org.uk.

I'll let you have that one File as I'm in a good mood. Don't make a habit of it.

If this particular thread is going to be hi-jacked by cyberspace terrorists plugging their grubby wares, I want a share !
Coming soon, my stunning new masterpiece - aren't.fluffy.bunny.rabbits.ever.so.ever.so.adorable?com.

Probably the best website devoted to adorable fluffy bunny rabbits, though not as entertaining as ICG roadshows obviously.

Come along next time Shameless and find out for yourself. Feel free to bring the rabbit too, just don't forget to buy your round.

I wouldn't rely on any individual with such an extreme rabbit fixation to buy you a drink, but I suspect there'll be no shortage of donkeys willing to whet your whistle at the next event.

I think there's more to that last comment than meets the eye - explain yourself Mr Psychologist !

How do you know I'm a Mr and not a Miss/Mrs ?
Putting that aside, you're absolutely right - I was talking about donkeys bearing gifts, namely copies of "The Patriot".

Most perceptive anonymous, you're probably wasted in your current occupation.
Why not become an eminent mammal psychologist like me ?

I don't think many "Patriot" distributors will be wanting to buy me a drink any time soon.

Besides, if they drink too much on their travels to Isleworth and Feltham they will find the tube ride back to Barking (40+ stops?) a very uncomfortable experience.

Take it from one who knows, I've done it in the opposite direction!

Granted they've been sniffing around, but what makes E.M.P think they're going to turn up at the next ICG roadshow ?

David

Why do you come to my site to be a pillock, when you could be a pillock on your own?

Hurrah, the uncrowned prince of Feltham has returned with twisty turny proclavities alternating wrinkled blue and magnolia across the ocean, any ocean, where typicle bully-boy Nazis can't exert their influence either.
Assurience equals arrogance, especially when there's an R in the month and away goals count double.
Compare that with compare the meerkat - all clear now ?

Anonymous: What makes you think the "Patriots" were'nt at the last roadshow ?
They don't all wear bovver boots and have BNP tattooed on their foreheads you know !
Comments elsewhere recentely have highlighted how 'sophisticated' they have now become, how easily they blend in and how they now appeal to a much wider audience.
Nationwide all sorts of circumstances have combined to create a climate where they're far more likely to make a major impression and in some areas they WILL make a major impression !
Will Hounslow be one of them - who knows ?
A low turnout tends to play into their hands though.

Because I knew all the people who were there, and trust them.

I guess Lord Tebbit's recent comment urging no-one to vote for any of the mainstream parties in the forthcoming Euro elections will have the BNP jumping for joy.
Honestly, I know there is widespread revulsion over the expenses scandal, but a mass boycott just plays into the hands of such fanatics.

@ EMP

I totally agree. Watch this space, or should I say this blog?
